Data Center Automation Specialist

Job Description

• Must Have: VMWare, HyperV, Terraform and any one scripting language like Shell, Bash or Python.
• Should have done DC automation projects as part of his work
• Develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions for data center operations.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Hands on experience on VMWare and HyperV.
• Design and optimize workflows for monitoring, provisioning, and managing data center resources.
• Write and maintain scripts in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate routine tasks.
• Use Infrastructure and software deployment using Terraform.
• Monitor performance and availability of data center systems and implement improvements.
• Conduct regular audits and performance assessments of automation processes.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in automation processes.
• Provide training and support to staff on automation tools and processes.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data center automation technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in data center operations and automation (3+ years preferred).
• Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Knowledge of data center infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and practices (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA).
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
